Bergeron <br /> Judge of the Superior Court <br /> Hall of Justice <br /> 400 County Center, 2 nd Floor <br /> Redwood City, CA 94063-1655 <br /> Dear Judge Bergeron: <br /> The City of Redwood City Council has reviewed the June 27, 2011 report of the <br /> San Mateo County Grand Jury titled "Running on Empty?" and has prepared the <br /> following response to the applicable findings and recommendations. This <br /> response was approved by the City Council at its regular meeting of August 22, <br /> 2011. <br /> Of the eleven findings, only two specifically pertain to the City of Redwood City, <br /> and therefore, the City must indicate one of the following for each applicable <br /> finding: <br /> 1. The Council agrees with the finding. <br /> 2. The Council disagrees wholly or partially with the finding, in which <br /> case the response shall specify the portion of the finding that is <br /> disputed and shall include an explanation of the reasons therefore. <br /> Of the eight recommendations, only five were applicable to the City of Redwood <br /> City, and therefore, the City must report one of the following actions for each <br /> applicable recommendation: <br /> 1. The recommendation has been implemented, with a summary regarding <br /> the implemented action. <br /> 2. The recommendation has not yet been implemented, but will be <br /> implemented in the future, with a time frame for implementation. <br /> 3. The recommendation requires further analysis, with an explanation and <br /> the scope and parameters of an analysis or study, and a time frame for <br /> the matter to be prepared for discussions by the officer or director of the <br /> agency or department being investigated or reviewed, including the <br /> governing body of the public agency when applicable. This time frame <br /> shall not exceed six months from the date of publication of the Grand Jury <br /> report. <br /> 4. The recommendation will not be implemented because it is not warranted <br /> or reasonable, with an explanation therefore. <br /> The Redwood City Council approved the following responses to the findings and <br /> recommendations. <br />
