The City of Redwood City will pay invoices from benefit providers where <br /> it is practical, and as has been determined during the initial implementation process. <br /> 3. Access to San Carlos Pavroll <br /> The City of Redwood City will respond to inquiries from external agencies including but not <br /> limited to PERS, State of California, and the IRS. The City of Redwood City will promptly notify <br /> the City of San Carlos Administrative Services Department of any non-standard or unusual <br /> inquiries. <br /> The City of Redwood City will provide San Carlos employees designated by the City of San Carlos <br /> Administrative Services Director with online read-only and reporting access to the payroll <br /> system. The Administrative Services Director will also designate San Carlos employees who are <br /> responsible for making online changes to payroll master employee data with properly <br /> authorized documentation that will be forwarded to the City of Redwood City. <br /> 4. Services to San Carlos Emplovees <br /> A. Employee Inquiries: The City of Redwood City will respond to payroll inquiries <br /> submitted to the staff inember responsible for such inquiries by email or phone, <br /> only in the event that the San Carlos employee has first directed such inquiry to the <br /> San Carlos staff inember responsible for such inquiries and the issue remains <br /> unresolved. Walk-in inquiries to the City of Redwood City are not permitted. Any <br /> unresolved inquiries will be directed to the City of San Carlos Administrative Services <br /> Department. <br /> B. Paychecks: The City of Redwood City will email pay stubs to San Carlos employees <br /> who elect to be paid by "direct deposit," and will submit the "direct deposit" file to <br /> employee banks in a timely manner to ensure that monies are deposited into <br /> employee accounts on payday. The City of Redwood City will print and distribute <br /> signed paychecks to San Carlos employees who are not paid by direct deposit. These <br /> checks will be deposited in the U.S. mail by the City of Redwood City by noon on the <br /> business day preceding the City of San Carlos' payday. The City of Redwood City will <br /> not make paychecks available for pickup by San Carlos employees. <br /> C. Corrections to paychecks: <br /> • The City of Redwood City will make corrections to paychecks after such <br /> corrections are approved by an authorized San Carlos employee. <br />
