Page i of 1
8.A. - Page 96
PLG-Sailesh Mhra
From: michelle ross [rossmich@gmail.com]
Sent: Monday, August 15, 2011 'f 0:27 AM
To: PLG-Sailesh Mehra; PLG-Jill Ekas
Cc: beerlypurrington@comcast.net
Subject: Property Owner AGAINST Laurel Way Development
To Jill Ekras and 3ailesh Mehra of the Planning Commission,
I arn the property owner at 815 Villa Vista St, Emerald Hills, CA. I strongly oppose the
inappropriate de•elopment af 181arge homes an LAUREL WAY on the sub-standard, steeply
sZoped lots.
By allowing this developrnent, you are waiving the existing slope-density requirements which
have been in existence since 1979. By vhat authority do you allow the existing regulations to be
waived? I have been UNABLE TO BUILD on the lots I own de to these same regulations, and
my ots aren't as steep as the Laurel Way lots.
I am not against develapment in general, however, these substandard lots were purchased for
extremeiy low prices because they were just that - sub-stanaard lots! Now this same group wants
to develap inappropriate, too Zarge homes which will ruin the quality of our neighborhood.
As Prn sure you know, our homeowner group has engaged a real estate attorney arxd will have a
public website soon. We urge you to re-consider the approval of the EIR for this development.
Sincerely,
Michelle Ryder Ross
Owner home & unimproved 1and ( AP's 057-3-1-600,520,610)
8/16/2011
