8.A. - Page 143
build a really big house on a large steep slape. Also the discussion of this alternative at
the end of DEIR states that the applicant couId stitl build 18 homes with merged Io#s,
which doesn't, makes sense. Logically it seems that no matter how you cornbine Zots
with a>30 % slope, that those should not be built on based on cuYrent RH zaning and if
you merge the 41ots that are substandard and bave a slope of Zess than 30%, then you
might get 2 house out of this project.
The risks of building this project in all categories even with the proposed mitigation
measures seems to far outweigh any risk that rnight accur from na developrnent.
I see no environmental or function desirability of this project nor does it fit the character
of the surrounding neighborhood. It does not seem easible how Redwood City cotld
preserve the visuaI qualities of our area by alowing the building of a project of this
magnitude and it would definitely look out of place in our neighborhood. I hope both the
Planning Commission and Cau.cil strongly consider the many comments and opinions of
the individuals that surround this proposed project and are sensitzve to our concerns about
how are quality af life wiil be impacted by such a developrnent.
Sincerety,
Kristi and Rick Guinon
3665 Genwood Ave.
Redwood City, CA 940fi2
