3/22/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130-299 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 60.23.12 TO ORDINANCE NO. <br /> 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, PREZONING <br /> CERTAIN PROPERTY AT AND NEAR SEAPORT BOULEVARD <br /> FROM THE "M2" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br /> (UNINCORPORATED SAN MATEO COUNTY) TO THE "IP","TP" <br /> AND "Gl" ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on ,1998, the Planning Commission of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City recommended for City Council approval, the prezoning of <br />approximately 200 acres currently zoned "M2" (Heavy Industrial) Zoning District <br />classification (unincorporated San Mateo County) into the following: <br /> <br /> 0.25 acres to "IP" (Industrial Park) Zoning District classification; 177 <br /> acres to 'q'P" (Tidal Plain) Zoning District classification; and 20 <br /> acres to "Gl" (General Industrial) Zoning District classification; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public <br />hearing duly noticed and held for said proposed prezoning, finds that the <br />proposed prezoning is in the public interest, consistent with the General Plan of <br />the City of Redwood City, and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City <br />Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1130, as amended); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council previously adopted Ordinance No. 1130-295 on <br />April 1, 1996, prezoning approximately 116 acres located adjacent to the <br />property described above in connection with the proposed Pacific Shores Center <br />Project (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report for the Project, dated <br />March 1995 ("FEIR"), which was certified by this Council pursuant to Resolution <br /> <br />S~/~c/o~d <br />Ord-058 <br />FXS/fs <br /> <br /> <br />
