<br />General No.1 (continued) <br /> <br />City Manager Smith suggested that since the Zoning Administrator has certain <br />leeway in interpreting Planned Development Permits, that he be allowed to <br />make the decision. <br /> <br />M/S: BurylStangel to refer the matter to the Zoning Administrator for <br />decis ion. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85-91 <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Councilman Claire, Regional Planning Committee representative, referred to <br />his memorandum to Council requesting their recommendations with respect to a <br />letter from Joan Stiff, President of RPC, transmitting a proposal from E.D. <br />French, Jr. Chairman of the CirculationlTransportation Subcommittee, to form <br />a new agency to implement a solution to Peninsula transit problems. He <br />thought that the reason for the proposal might be the disagreement by RPC <br />with the Metropolitan Transportation Committee recommendations and would like <br />to have its own transportation committee; however, he indicated that he did <br />not favor establishment of another layer of government. <br /> <br />MIS: Rhodes/Mosher to oppose the proposal by the RPC Circulation/ <br />Transportation Subconmittee to form a new area transportation committee. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 85-92 <br /> <br />Councilman Claire or his Alternate will convey the action of the Council at <br />the next meeting of the Regional Planning Committee. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION VACANCY <br /> <br />Mayor Britschgi referred to the memorandum from the City Clerk regarding having <br />only one application for the vacancy on the Park and Recreation Commission. <br />Discussion by Council followed regarding the fact that while the applicant had <br />made a good impress ion at the previous interview in Apri 1, there was a lso some <br />reluctance to make the appointment on the basis of only one application. <br /> <br />MIS: Bury/Chandler to accept the application and appoint Rosalee Jackson to the <br />vacancy on the Park an Recreation Conmission. <br /> <br />The motion failed on the following roll call vote. <br /> <br />Ayes: Bury, Chandler, Mosher <br />Noes: Claire, Rhodes, Stangel, Mayor Britschgi <br /> <br />M/S: ClairelStangel to readvertise for the vacancy on the Park and Recreation <br />Corrmission with a period of thirty days to receive applications. <br /> <br />Reg.Mtg. <br />6/24/85 <br />P ag e 6 <br /> <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 45 <br />Page No. 493 . <br /> <br />, .. ----""'-'-."----"-"',------------.----..---------.--.- <br />
