EXHIBIT A <br /> Attachment C— Scope of Services and Fees <br /> Backeround: <br /> The City of Redwood City,'California ("City") is seeking Proposals from qualified firms s"Proposers") to <br /> provide pump and motor repair, and flap gate / drainage gate inspection / repair / replacement <br /> services for six City storm pump stations. <br /> Storm Utiliri Svstem Storm Pump Stations: <br /> The City of Redwood City has twenty-two (22) storm pump stations within the Gity limits maintained <br /> by City personnel. There are a variety of pumps, i.e. ages, sizes, types and manufacturer brands, in <br /> operetion throughout the storm pump stations system, that the firm must have the experience and <br /> qualifications to service, including: <br /> List of Utilitv Svstem Pumps bv Manufacturer <br /> Aurora Fairbanks-Morse <br /> Berkeley lohnston Vertical Pump <br /> Byron-Jackson Paco Pacific <br /> Gould Prime <br /> Several of the City's pump stations are equipped with flap gates. The City has established Waterman <br /> manufactured flap gates as its standard system flap gate and allows rio substitution or replacement. <br /> Fiap gates are to 6e inspected, repair or replaced based on the inspection findings. <br /> The scope of this contract is to provide services for rebuilding, repairing and / or reconditioning <br /> pumps and motors, and present alternative replacements pump and motor options, as required, for <br /> utility system pump stations. <br /> A. Speciflcation for Pump & Pumo Motor Reconditianine. Rebuildine and Reoair <br /> 1. The contractor is responsible for removing / pulling pumps - Contractor to supply all needed <br /> equipment for removing / pulling pumps and transporting for reconditioning and return <br /> delivery and installation of pumps. <br /> 2. Complete disassemble and inspection of pumps within 2 weeks ot pulling pump from service. <br /> 3. If required, all work performed must conform to the requirements: <br /> a. Straighten and balance impeller <br /> b. Sandblast and epoxy coat inside and outside of column pump. <br /> c. Reassemble pump. <br /> d.
