connection through Comcast and replace the internet connection with the Comcast connection if both
parties agree it is in the best interest of both parties. RCIT will work with SCIT in using the above
connection for two-way communications between San Carlos fire stations 13 and 16 and Redwood City
City Hall and Redwood City station 9. San Carlos fire stations 13 and 16 will connect to San Carlos City
Hall using San Carlos existing and supported fiber connections.
RCIT will collaborate with SCIT on designing the network and preparing a diagram that includes a
complete list of equipment required for connectivity and data communication using the above
connection. Once both RCIT and SCIT agree on the network design and after written consent of both
RCIT and SCIT, RCIT will, at its sole expense, acquire all the necessary equipment required in
Redwood City to implement the design to make the connections at whichever Redwood City facilities
are required in order for communication to happen between Redwood City fire station 9 and San Carlos
City Hall and fire stations 13 and 16. Each agency will, at its sole expense, purchase, install, and
configure network equipment required for connectivity that is to be located within its own facility.
2. Configure Mutual Access to Shared Network Storage, FireRMS, Telestaff, CodePal, and San
Carlos Customer Service application.
RCIT will identify the network resources (new and existing file shares, databases, applications, etc.) to
be provided to the firefighters at San Carlos. RCIT will then create users and groups in the Active
Directory domain at Redwood City so that San Carlos Fire Department users have access to the
network resources identified. RCIT will work closely with SCIT to implement shared access for every
San Carlos fire fighter's user profile.
RCIT will install and configure FireRMS, Telestaff, and CodePal on each work station at fire stations 13
and 16 located in San Carlos so they can communicate with the applications hosted at Redwood City.
RCIT will also configure any workstations located at San Carlos City Hall that are identified as requiring
access to these applications. This includes all the work required on the FireRMS, Telestaff, and
CodePal application servers located in Redwood City so the newly configured workstations can
communicate with them.
The work required on Redwood City servers will include acquiring the list of San Carlos fire fighters
from San Carlos in a format that RCIT will provide to SCIT. The list will be reviewed for format and
completeness and prepared for entry into the FireRMS, Telestaff, and CodePal databases. RCIT will
reconfigure the FireRMS, Telestaff, and CodePal databases to accommodate San Carlos Fire
Department as a new entity. RCIT will create users and assign appropriate permissions to those users.
RCIT will work with SCIT on initially allowing Redwood City Fire staff access to San Carlos' customer
service application, as needed.
///
///
///
///
/!/
///
ATfY/AGR/2011.065 San Carlos IT Agreement
