Conducting a separate competitive bid process <br />would probably not result in any cost savings since the City and County of San <br />Francisco's competitive bid process included all of the same criteria and requirements <br />that a Redwood City competitive bid would have included. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for the purchase of this replacement street sweeper were approved by the City <br />Council in the Fiscal Year 2011/2012 Equipment Replacement Fund Budget in the <br />amount of $195,000.00. The remaining balance of $31,456.84 will initially be financed <br />from retained earnings in the Equipment Replacement Fund.
