General Descriotion of Services <br /> The City of Redwood City will provide payroll services and payroll reporting to the City of San <br /> Carlos including but not limited to: processing timecards entered by City of San Carlos; <br /> calculating employee's gross pay; calculating employee's net pay; calculating and remitting <br /> Federal and State taxes (including Personal Income Tax); calculating, deducting and remitting <br /> wage garnishments; calculating and remitting PERS contributions (employee and employer) and <br /> preparing, reconciling, and submitting PERS reporting; preparing, reconciling, posting <br /> adjustments, and submitting quarterly Federal and State tax reports; issuing annual W-2's; and <br /> processing all retroactive adjustments to salary and benefits. <br /> 2. Benefits Reqorts <br /> A. Workers' Compensation: The City of Redwood City will provide quarterly workers' <br /> compensation/payroll reports to the City of San Carlos's workers' compensation <br /> insurance administrator in the required format. Reports will be sent by email to the San <br /> Carlos Administrative Services Department. The City of Redwood City will post and <br /> process all adjustments to pay and/or benefits as necessary for workers' compensation. <br /> B. Disability Trecking: The City of Redwood City will initially provide the capability to track <br /> disability hours via a character based screen. The City of San Carlos is responsible for <br /> ensuring that the applicable hours and time code for disability leave are correctly <br /> entered prior to payroll being calculated. The City of Redwood City will provide reports <br /> with hours and earnings charged to disability time codes to the City of San Carlos. The <br /> City of Redwood City will use the earnings amount that corresponds with the use of <br /> disability time codes to reduce the taxable income of each employee who charged time <br /> to disability leave. <br /> C. Medical/Cafeteria Benefits: The City of Redwood City will annually prepare the non- <br /> discriminatory testing report for the City of San Carlos' cafeteria benefits plan and <br /> submit it (in Excel format), along with a copy of the most current payroll schedule, to <br /> the San Carlos Administrative Services Department, by November i5 of each year. <br /> D. EEO Reporting: The EE04 report will be prepared by the City of Redwood City bi- <br /> annually and sent to the San Carlos Administretive Services Department (in Excel or PDF <br /> format) by July 30 of year due. <br /> E. Pay & Reconcile Benefits: The City of Redwood City will reconcile invoices from benefit <br /> providers monthly, or quarterly at a minimum, based on data the City of San Carlos has <br />
