The City of Redwood City will pay invoices from benefit providers where it is prectical, and as has been determined during the initial implementation process. 3. Access to San Carlos Pavroll The City of Redwood City will respond to inquiries from external agencies including but not limited to PERS, State of California, and the IRS. The City of Redwood City will promptly notify the City of San Carlos Administrative Services Department of any non-standard or unusual inquiries. The City of Redwood City will provide San Carlos employees designated by the City of San Carlos Administrative Services Director with online read-only and reporting access to the payroll system. The Administrative Services Director will also designate San Carlos employees who are responsible for making online changes to payroll master employee data with properly authorized documentation that will be forwarded to the City of Redwood City. 4. Services to San Carlos Emplovees A. Employee Inquiries: The Cify of Redwood City will respond to payroll inquiries submitted to the staff memlier responsible for such inquiries by email or phone, only in the event that the San Carlos employee has first directed such inquiry to the San Carlos staff member responsible for such inquiries and the issue remains unresolved. Walk-in inquiries to the City of Redwood City are not permitted. Any unresolved inquiries will be directed to the City of San Carlos Administretive Services Department. B. Paychecks: The City of Redwood City will email pay stubs to San Carlos employees who elect to be paid by "direct deposit " and will submit the "direct deposiY' file to employee banks in a timely manner to ensure that monies are deposited into employee accounts on payday. The City of Redwood City will print and distribute signed paychecks to San Carlos employees who are not paid by direct deposit. These checks will be deposited in the U.S. mail by the City of Redwood City by noon on the business day preceding the City of San Carlos' payday. The City of Redwood City will not make paychecks available'for pickup by San Carlos employees. C. Corrections to paychecks • The City of Redwood City will_ make corrections to paychecks after such corrections are approved by an authorized San Carlos employee.
