EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> ACTERRA'S GREEN@HOME PROGRAM <br /> $30,000 — Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant <br /> 1. Trained HouseCall volunteers will respond to all HouseCall requests from at least <br /> 100 Redwood City residences, to install basic energy-saving devices and complete a <br /> residential energy audit. Residents.who receive a HouseCall audit will be offered a <br /> colorFul yard/window sign to publicize their commitment to energy conservation. Note: <br /> HouseCalls will not be conducted during the annual Acterra shutdown between the <br /> Christmas Holidays and New Year. In addition, residents and volunteers tend to not be <br /> available for HouseCalls around major holidays and vacation periods. <br /> 2. Green@Home staff will endeavor to visit or attend a meeting of each Redwood <br /> City neighborhood association once during the timeframe of the agreement to inform <br /> them about the program and solicit their participation. <br /> 3. Green@Home staff will work with city staff, community organizations and local <br /> businesses to offer at least one DIY (Do It Yourselfl workshop for residents, to teach <br /> them about basic home energy efficiency techniques and products. <br /> 4. During each HouseCall, Acterra will offer residents faucet flow restrictors and <br /> water-saving showerheads supplied b'y Redwood City's water department. <br /> 5. At the end of every HouseCall, Acterra will offer residents a city-provided folder <br /> containing city-selected materials referencing city or local environmental services such <br /> as hazardous waste collection, electronics recycling and water conservation. <br /> 6. Acterra staff will work with Redwood City staff, local media, neighborhood <br /> associations and other community organizations to publicize the program throughout <br /> the timeframe of the agreement and offer recognition to volunteers and participating <br /> residents. <br /> 7. Acterra will make follow-up calls to residents within 3 months of their HouseCall <br /> to determine whether they went ahead with suggested conservation recommendations <br /> and their written commitment to make further changes. Data from these follow-up <br /> surveys will be provided to the City. <br /> 8. Acterra will continue to serve the Spanish speaking population in Redwood City <br /> by: <br /> a. doing Spanish language outreach in Spanish speaking neighborhoods. <br /> b. providing outreach and training materials in Spanish. <br /> c. employing a Program Assistant who is bilingual in English and Spanish. <br /> The Program Assistant schedules HouseCalls and volunteers for <br /> Agreement over $10K 9 � <br /> City Attomey Approved Version 012611 <br />
