6.1.F. - Page 5 <br /> successful tenants in the Mid-Pen Housing Main Street Project in Redwood City. <br /> Funding Requested: $10,000; Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> Peninsula Volunteers, Inc — Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels provides hot <br /> meals to seniors and disabled individuals of the community who are homebound <br /> and unable to prepare or shop for food. Meals on Wheels can be provided <br /> during short-term convalescence or long-term disability. Funding Requested: <br /> $25,000. Funding Recommended: $25,000. <br /> Rape Trauma Services-Trauma Healinq & Endinq Cvcles Proqram. Rape <br /> Trauma Services serves children and adults who have been directly or indirectly <br /> hurt by the trauma of sexual abuse, assault, or harassment. The Trauma <br /> Healing and Ending Cycles Program includes RTS' at-risk teen counseling, 24- <br /> hour hotline, individual and support group counseling, advocacy & <br /> accompaniment, and information, referrals, and outreach. Funding Requested: <br /> $12,000. Funding Recommended: $12,000. <br /> Samaritan House — Free Clinic of Redwood Citv. The Free Clinic of <br /> Redwood City provides free primary, preventive, and specialty care to the <br /> uninsured. Specialty services include diabetic care, gynecology, dermatology, <br /> internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, optometry, podiatry, <br /> and nutritional counseling. In 2011 the clinic also added a Breast Care Clinic. <br /> Funding Requested: $17,000. Funding Recommended: $17,000. <br /> Service Leaque/Hope House. Hope House provides a 180-day recovery <br /> program for women who are released from the San Mateo County Women's <br /> Correctional Program and who have a desire to resolve their alcohol and/or drug <br /> addictions before returning to the community. As women graduate, they return <br /> to the community and are supported in their successful recovery through an <br /> alumni group. Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> StarVista (formerlv Youth and Familv Enrichment Services) Crisis <br /> Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center. The Crisis Intervention and <br /> Suicide Prevention Center is the only 24-hour suicide and crisis hotline in San <br /> Mateo County. In addition, StarVista offers a 24-hour alcohol and drug help line, <br /> parent support line, and has a Crisis Center Youth Intervention Team providing <br /> prevention education and responding as on-call counselors to San Mateo County <br /> schools for youth with suicidal behaviors and other crisis situations. Additionally, <br /> StarVista has a website and chat room where youth can anonymously log on and <br /> chat online via "live chat" sessions with trained and supervised volunteer peer <br /> m entors.
