6.1.A. - Page 8 Attachment A <br /> REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT EXTENDED DAY LEARNING <br /> PROGRAM & SCHOOL MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS <br /> Provider Expectations: <br /> Proaram <br /> o Provide after school academic enrichment services 5 days a week <br /> (Monday through Friday) for a minimum of 3 hours each day from <br /> school re%ase time to 6:OOPM for a minimum of 30 weeks while <br /> school is in session <br /> o Provide services to students who are at risk of retention or who are <br /> struggling academically that are identi�ed and referred by the school <br /> o Provide services to identi�ed students despite families'abiliry to pay <br /> for the program <br /> o Maintain an 85%to 1003b attendance rate. Dual funded sites need ro <br /> achieve 100%attendance rate in ASES and 85%to 1009�in 215` CCLC. <br /> o Academic interventions are either instruction, tutoring or homework <br /> completion assistance and provided in small groups and in <br /> classrooms/small rooms (school must provide adequate space) <br /> o Site Coordinator works with school to implement a structured system <br /> to monitor homework completion and communicate with teachers <br /> about homework requirements and completion (i.e. - planners) <br /> o Enrichment activities are structured and allow students to develop <br /> academic and other skills that enrich classroom learning and overall <br /> student success <br /> o Enrichment activities are engaging and fun as reported by students on <br /> the student survey <br /> o The program has a parent involvement component that minimally <br /> includes providing regular communications with parents about <br /> program news/events and about individual student challenges and <br /> successes <br /> o Program and school rules and disciplinary procedures are in alignment <br /> Staff <br /> o Emp/oy an after school program site coordinator for each sire who is <br /> approved by the school principal <br /> o Maintain an adu/r-s�dent ratio of 1:20 and ensure that all staff used <br /> in this ratio meet t e Disrrict's minimum qualifications for an <br /> instructional aide <br /> o Site Coordinator is not in ratio (unless there is a staff shortage or <br /> other need) and works a minimum of 30 hours per week at the school <br /> site ` <br /> o Program staff will have the following: <br /> o Classroom management skills <br /> o Ability to help students with homework in a way that helps <br />
