CONTINGENCY MEASURES <br /> A.Initiating Procedures <br /> If there is found to be a less than 100% survival rate for coast live oak plantings in any given <br /> monitoring year, the County will replace plants during the fall of the yeaz surveyed. New plantings <br /> will be monitored and maintained for a minimum of three yeazs Following planting to ensure <br /> individual plant success. <br /> B. Alternate Location for Contingency Mitigation <br /> The area adjacent to the Belmont Conference Center located at 550 Island Parkway, Belmont, CA <br /> 94002-4148, could be used as a location of contingency mitigation. This area is currently owned <br /> by the City of Belmont. The azea is adjacent to O'Neill Slough and consists of mostly upland and <br /> riparian habitat dominated by non-native landscape plants. <br /> C. Funding Mechanism <br /> Should the need for contingency mitigation arise, the County can initiate internal funding <br /> mechanisms, which may require Board approval if greater than $] 00,000. <br /> IX.
