,or.-Y <br />1w, FD mjl <br />South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Consortium <br />3095 Yerba Buena Road, San Jose, CA 95135 ♦ Phone (408) 270 -6458 ♦ Fax (408) 238 -0286 <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />Agreement Relating to Donation of Shotguns <br />This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into this day of , 2011 is <br />by and between the Redwood City Police Department (RCPD) and the South Bay Regional Public <br />Safety Training Consortium ('SBRPSTC" or "Consortium "), and shall be effective on the date it is <br />fully executed. <br />A. Purpose of the MOU: <br />The primary purpose of this MOU is to reflect the mutual intent of the parties to establish an "In <br />Kind" agreement relating to the transfer and disposition of specific RCPD owned shotgun and <br />ammunition inventory to the Consortium in exchange for equivalent value in training credits. <br />B Statement of Mutual Benefit and Consideration to Support this MOU: <br />The parties believe that their collaborative and cooperative efforts will enhance their ability to <br />deliver cost effective public safety training through the reduction of redundancies, containment and <br />recovery of respective costs, and increased efficiencies in business operations. <br />C. Scope of Agreement: <br />1. RCPD agrees to donate and transfer ownership of a mutually agreed upon number of <br />decommissioned shotguns and ammunition to the Consortium. <br />2. The parties agree that the equivalent value of the donate RCPD equipment will be $2000 in <br />training credit. <br />In exchange, The Consortium agrees to allow RCPD to enroll agency staff in those training <br />activities specifically administered and registered by the Consortium though it's conscripting <br />college(s). <br />4. The parties understand and agree that the Consortium will waive the course enrollment costs <br />associated with attendance by RCPD in qualified training up to the agreed upon amount of <br />$2000. <br />S.
