La Croix <br /> Ciry of Redwood Ciry <br /> 1017 Middlefield Road <br /> Redwood Ciry, CA 94063 <br /> Subject: RCCH City Attorney's Offices Improvements — Authorization to Proceed with <br /> Professional Services <br /> Deaz Deanna, <br /> The City of Redwood City ("ClienY') and NBBJ, LP ("NBBP') are negotiating an agreement <br /> for professional services. Until those negotiations are complete and in order to begin services, <br /> the following will serve as NBBJ's authorization to proceed (ATP). NBBJ will provide <br /> services until a fully executed agreement for professional services directs all future work. The <br /> intent of this authorization is to allow NBBJ to start field investigations and initial space <br /> planning studies for presentation to the City Attomey (defined as the Programming Phase). The <br /> initial Scope of Work covered under this ATP is scheduled to take place over approximately <br /> the next six to eight weeks. The exact schedule is still to be determined between the Client and <br /> NBBJ. <br /> ' This authori�ation to proceed will expire at the completion of the Programming Phase or at the <br /> time of the main agreement approval whichever comes first. Should this ATP need to be <br /> extended to include the Schematic Design Phase, see the Compensation pazagraph for steps <br /> involved in that fee increase and phase inclusion. <br /> A. Project Description and Scope of Work <br /> The project and basic services are as follows: <br /> Provide field investigations as required to confirm current conditions as they relate to the <br /> original documents. <br /> Re-design/re-plan the City Manager's end of the second floor, approximately 3,000 GSF <br /> (not including the Community Development Director's office and conference room noted <br /> in item 8 below), to accommodate the following requested changes/revisions to the <br /> existing space plan/room layouts: <br /> l. City Attomey: 1 main office for the City Attomey with adjacent office space for 3other <br /> attorneys. <br /> 2. City Attorney's 2 admin work stations. (existing to be relocated) <br /> 3. Additional work area for part-time intern for City Attorney's office. <br />
