EXNIBIT A- SCOPE OF SERVICES � <br /> MEZES AND JARDIN DE;NINOS PARKS RENOVATION PROJECT <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION: � <br /> MEZES PARK <br /> Mezes Park is a well-used neighborhood park with an existing playground, tennis <br /> courts, basketball court, restroom, and an open grassy picnic area. The park <br /> requires replacement or upgrades to these elements including the existing <br /> electrical system and the existing park sign(s). The estimated construction cost is <br /> $425,000. <br /> JARDIN DE NINOS PARK <br /> Jardin de Ninos Park is a small neighborhood park which currently does not have a <br /> restroom. The objective of this project is to improve the play structure�s), enhance <br /> the park entrance and overall appearance, and install a new restroom with a pre- <br /> , fabricated ADA compliant restroom. The estimated construction cost is $225,000. <br /> DESIGN: <br /> TASK A- DESIGN DEVELOPMENT/ SCHEMATIC DESIGN <br /> 1. Project Initiation and Data Collection: Assumes Starf of Contract Oct. 3rd <br /> 2. Public Outreach • <br /> A. Workshop 1- Saturday, Oct 22nd at l0am and 1 pm <br /> ' B. Workshop 2- Saturday, November 5'^ at 10 am and 1 pm <br /> 3. Schematic Design Development: Oct. 3 to November 16th <br /> � <br /> 4. DD/SD Staff review: November 1'bth to November 22^d <br /> Deliverable: <br /> The consultant shall prepare and submit the Schematic Design which includes two <br /> alternative designs and preliminary cost estimates to Redwood City within 45 days <br /> after.issuance of the notice of proceed. Seven (7) copies of the schematic design <br /> and cost estimates are required. <br /> TASK B - CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION <br /> 1. 35% Submittal: December 9�^ <br /> 2. Staff Review: December 9�h to January 6�h <br /> 3. 95% Submittal: January 20'h <br /> 4. Staff Review: January 20'h to February 20'" <br /> 5. Signed Bid Submittal: March 12th <br /> Deliverable: <br /> a. The consultant shall prepare and submit the 35% design which includes plans, <br /> outline specifications and cost estimate to Redwood City within 16 days after <br /> receiving comments from the schematic design phase and issuance approval <br /> to proceed to 35% design. Seven (7) copies .of the 35% design plans, <br /> specifications outline, and cosfi estimates are required. <br />
