45,214.19.1 The following are the recognized holidays for emotovees in the followina classfications: <br /> ForN (40) hour Battalion Chiefs <br /> Deoutv Fire Chief <br /> Administrative ChieflFire Marshal ' <br /> New Years Day <br /> Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (observed on the third Monday in January) <br /> Washington's Birthday (observed on the third Monday in February) <br /> Memorial Day (observed on the last Monday in May) <br /> Independence Day <br /> Labor Day (observed on the first Monday in September) <br /> Veterans Day (observed November 11) <br /> Thanksgiving Day <br /> The Day After Thanksgiving � <br /> Christmas Eve <br /> Chnstmas Day ' <br /> New Year's Eve <br /> �414_19.2 Two administrative holidays and such other days as may be proclaimed local holidays. <br /> Administrative Holidays may only be taken in eight (8) hour increments. At the option of the <br /> employee, an employee may receive pay at the employee's straight-time rate of pay in lieu of <br /> one or both of the administrative holidays at eight (S) hours per administrative holiday. In the <br /> event that one or both of the administrative holidays are not used by the last pay period paid in <br /> the year (based on the preceding 26 pay periods), payment will be made no later than the first <br /> pay period in February. <br /> 14.19.3 Holidav Compensation for Twentv-Four f241 Hour Dutv Schedule Battalion Chiefs <br /> Each emplovee in the classification of Battalion Chief assianed to a iwenN-four (241 hour duN <br /> schedule shall receive no time off in the event the emolovee is reauired to work on anv of the <br /> davs set forth in Section 14.19.1 above. Instead. for each holidav listed in 14.19.1 above and in <br /> addition to anv straiqht time hours oaid on each holidav listed in 14.19.1 above, Battalion Chiefs <br /> assiqned to a twenN-four (241 hour duN schedule shall receive eiqht (81 hours of oav at time and <br /> one-half calculated on the basis of an eiaht (81 hour dav. <br /> For each emolovee in the classification of Battalion Chief assianed to a twenN-four (241 hour <br /> dutv schedule, the two admin'rstrative holidavs listed in 14.19.2 above mav onlv be taken in <br /> twenN-four (24) hour increments.
