6.1.A. - Page 24 <br />2 Approve a Resolution ratifying the City of Redwood City's Byrne <br />JAG application and authorizing the use of $24,742 grant funding in <br />Fiscal Year 2011 -2012 towards police equipment. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15144 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY RATIFYING THE CITY'S BYRNE JAG APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE USE OF $24,742 GRANT FUNDING IN FISCAL YEAR 2011 -2012 TOWARDS <br />POLICE EQUIPMENT <br />Ashley Osborne, Administrative Sergeant, provided the report explaining that this action <br />is required in order for the grant to be used by the Police Department. There were no <br />Council questions on the matter. <br />There was no public comment <br />M/S Seybert /Gee to close the Public Hearing. Motion carried by unanimous voice <br />vote. <br />M/S Seybert /Pierce to approve the Resolution. Motion carried unanimously by <br />electronic vote. <br />B. Final Resolution and Ordinance to amend contract between the Board <br />of Administration of CaIPERS and the City of Redwood City <br />Hold a public hearing and adopt a resolution to approve an amendment to <br />contract between the Board of Administration of the California Public <br />Employees' Retirement System (CaIPERS) and the City Council of <br />Redwood City. <br />RESOLUTION NO.15145 TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT <br />BETWEEN THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION CALIFORNIA PUBLIC <br />EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />Hold a public hearing, waive second reading, and adopt the ordinance to <br />approve an amendment to contract between the Board of Administration of <br />the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CaIPERS) and the <br />City Council of Redwood City. <br />ORDINANCE No. 2367 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE <br />CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR THE <br />MISCELLANEOUS SAFETY GROUPS (First Reading /Introduction 08/22/2011; <br />publication 09/06/2011) <br />Rebecca Burnside, Director of Human Resources, provided the report explaining this is <br />the approval of a two -tier plan retirement for various groups. She provided details on <br />the savings and the plan for each.
