6.1.C. - Page 5 <br />hours will be adjusted by mutual agreement. The Principal will request the School <br />Resource Officer be on campus only when students are on campus. <br />C. City will make available to the School Resource Officer appropriate <br />equipment and training as would normally be afforded a peace officer working for <br />City. City will strive to schedule required training during non - school days so as to <br />maximize the on -site time of the School Resource Officer. District will be kept <br />apprised of any scheduled training. <br />D. City agrees to accept and investigate reported incidents of criminal <br />behavior consistent with Redwood City Police Department guidelines. <br />3. Obligations of District. During the term of this Agreement, District <br />hereby covenants and agrees to the following: <br />A. District personnel shall cooperate with the School Resource Officer <br />and City to facilitate the performance of law enforcement services pursuant to <br />this Agreement and City's general law enforcement duties. <br />B. District will provide the School Resource Officer with an office, <br />desk, computer, and telephone (with voice mail). <br />C. When there is a need for emergency law enforcement assistance <br />the principal of Sequoia Union High School, or his /her designee, shall first call <br />911 and then notify the School Resource Officer. The School Resource Officer <br />shall respond as quickly as reasonably possible and provide further direction as <br />necessary. <br />D. The principal of Sequoia Union High School, or his /her designee, <br />shall be responsible for making non - emergency requests for law enforcement <br />services. Such requests shall be made directly to the School Resource Officer. <br />If the School Resource Officer is not available, the Dispatch Center at Redwood <br />City Police Department at 369 -3331 may be contacted. <br />4. Supplemental Services. District may request City to provide additional <br />law enforcement services for evening or weekend events such as PTA meetings, Back - <br />to- School Nights, Open House, athletic or performance events, dances, proms, or other <br />District - sponsored events. City will use its best efforts to provide the requested services <br />by the School Resource Officer. District shall compensate City for such supplemental <br />services, whether the School Resource Officer or a patrol officer provides the services. <br />5. Compensation. The School Resource Officer shall be compensated by <br />the City. District shall compensate City for services provided under Paragraph 2 above <br />for the sum not -to- exceed $30,000.00. City shall submit an invoice at the end of the <br />school year by May 31, 2012.
