B. Requirements: Securitv 1. The vendor must provide necessary controls to protect the City's data from unauthorized access. Please provide details about the controls in place. As an outsourced services vendor, InfoSend takes both security and reliability as top priorities. InfoSend is entrusted to receive, render, and deliver ciienYs sensitive data to the intended targets as securely and safely as possible. For over 12 years InfoSend has continually sought to internally innovate to meet and exceed clients' requirements from a diverse array of industries. The combination of financial, health care and utility clients has ensured InfoSend has developed comprehensive, industry leading practices in the areas of security and disaster recovery. Employees and Network Infrastructure To comply with some of the most stringent security standards, all new InfoSend employees are given background checks as well as issued I.D. cards to authorize their entry to the building. Within the building there are thorough IT policies in place to ensure further authorization is required to access both physical servers and data. All employee machines require unique usernames and passwords, are subject to security domain policy constraints, and are continually updated to contain the latest security patches. Likewise, InfoSend's internet firewall limits traffic to business essentials and is trained to detect and subvert penetration attempts. InfoSend IT staff is required to stay continually abreast of the latest security related news and developments, ensuring InfoSend is ahead of the curve. Data Security By working under the requirements of both the health care and financial service industries, InfoSend has developed outstanding data security practices to prevent breaches or mistakes. All client programs are run separately and segmented programmatically to ensure integrity of each individual clienYs data. All transfers to and from InfoSend are required to utilize a minimum of 128-bit SSL technology to guarantee they are transmitted securely and safely. Sensitive data stored by InfoSend is done via standard RAID and tape backup methodologies, and is additionaliy subject to hardware and software level encryptions as necessary. Disaster Recovery As client needs and expectations have evolved, so has InfoSend in the area of disaster recovery. Each of InfoSend's three facilities operates under capacity to ensure that equipment failures or spikes in volume will be handled locally without issue. Additionally, InfoSend's headquarters and primary data center uses multiple internet lines to avoid disruption. The primary internet line is a fiber optic connection from a Tier 1 provider. The 19
