RESOLUTION ISO. 1 — i <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION F THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION TI F THE KAI <br />DOWNTOWN MEDICAL CAMPUS PRECISE PLAN As REVISED T <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, on December 2, 2002, the City Council of the City Redwood ` <br />� ood �Mty <br />("City Council" or "Council" ) adopted Ordinance rho. 1130-315 to ermit the <br />p cre o <br />Planned Community Districts as an additional tool to assist the City with its is future <br />pinning activities; and <br />WHEREAS, in compliance w ith California Environmental Quality Act regulation <br />on June 24, 2003, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City certifi d she <br />Kaiser Perm nente Redwood City Medical Center Master Plan Final Environ <br />Impact Rep El and considered an Addendum prepared June 18 2003, for the <br />Kaiser Downtown Medical Campus Precise Plan (the "Precise Plan" rior t <br />making <br />decision on the project CEA Guidelines Section 15164 [d]). <br />WHEREAS, on duly 1, 2003, the Planning Commission voted to recommend end that <br />the City Council approve the Precise Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on ..burly 1, 2003, the Planning Commission voted to recommend end to <br />the City Council that the existing Commercial Administrative CA /Commercial <br />B usiness <br />( CB) zoning district for the real properties included in the Precise Plan be r ezoned oned to <br />Planned Community P zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, Ke iser is now seeking a Plan Community Perm for the Phase l <br />Hospital Replacement ement Plan that involves the construction of ar new smaller <br />hospital <br />(approximately 280,000 square feet, 149 beds), smaller Centrarl tiiit Plant t (C <br />(approximately 1 6,000 square feet) and related on-site and off -site improvements is Chet <br />involve modifications to the Precise Plan.
