Redwood City Mixed Use Corridor District <br />Zoning Ordinance Amendment <br />the public right -of -gray (i.e. sidewalk areas) without prior approvals from Redwood City, <br />such as a revocable encroachment permit issued by the City Engineer and /or the City <br />Council. <br />4. Secondary Street Parkway Required, On secondary streets (i.e. streets other than that for <br />which the Sub - District is named), a landscaped parkway located between the sidewalk and the <br />street may be required. If an existing parkway on the secondary street adjacent to the property <br />exists, a parkway shall be required and the width of the parkway shall be consistent with <br />existing parkway widths along that secondary street. If are existing parkway on the secondary <br />street does not exist, the requirement for and/or width of -the landscaped parkway shall be <br />determined by the responsible review party on a case by case basis. A required parkway shall be <br />provided in addition to any required sidewalk width on secondary streets. <br />5. Landscaping. Landscaping shall be provided to, enhance the appearance of development <br />projects, provide pedestrian comfort, create shaded areas, red' f -ice heat and glare, conserve <br />water, screen potentially incompatible land uses and facilities., a tid improve air and grater <br />quality. <br />a. Street trees shall <br />be allowed to encroach on the minimum sidewalk width. <br />ii. Landscaped setback and open space required.
