RESOLUTION N N . 11 <br />RESOLUTION F THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING MENDIN THAT THE CITY <br />COUNCIL DESIGNATE 1842 1 HIPPLE AVENUE A HISTROIC <br />LANDMARK AND APPROVE A HISTORIC IC PF ESE1 ATIO # <br />AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, on June 6, 2011, the Historic Resources Advisory <br />Committee has considered and recommended that the residence and property <br />located at 1842 Whipple Avenue, Redwood City, California be designated a <br />Historic Landmark and that a Historic Property Preservation Agreement {Mills <br />Act Contract be approved; and <br />WHEREAS, EAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee has determined <br />that said property meets the criteria for designation as an historic landmark <br />according to the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City <br />Historic Preservation ordinance: {Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code; and <br />WHEREAS, EAS, notice of a public hearing was provided as required by the <br />Redwood City Municipal Code: and <br />WHEREAS, on December 6, 2011 the Planning Commission did bold a <br />public hearing and did consider public comments, the application and report from <br />the applicant and owner of the subject property, the recommendation of the <br />Historic Resources Advisory Committee, and staff reports. <br />WHEREAS, the residence and property located at 1842 Whipple Avenue, <br />Redwood City, California does meet the historic designation criteria established <br />by the Redwood City Historic Preservation ordinance (Chapter 40 of the <br />Redwood City Code) as follows: <br />A. It exemplifies and reflects special elements of the City's cultural, <br />aesthetic and architectural history; and <br />B. The property is identified with persons and events significant in local, <br />State and national History. <br />WHEREAS, said property and applicant do qualify for a Historic <br />Preservation Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, S, it is n the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the <br />residents therein, that said property be designated a Historic Landmark and that <br />a preservation agreement be approved to assist in the restoration and <br />preservation of such property. <br />ATTY/RE o.2182IPC 1842 1I HIPPLE AVE <br />REV: 12/08/11 <br />Paige 1 of <br />
