(203-10) <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on August 12, 1985 <br /> Present: Councilmen Bury, Claire, Rhodes, Stangel and Vice Mayor Mosher <br /> Absent: Councilman Chandler and Mayor Britschgi <br /> The following motion was made and entered on the minutes: <br /> M/5: Rhodes/Stangel to grant revision of the Use permit for a church and <br /> private school, to include a day care center at Redeemer Lutheran Church/ <br /> School, 452 Grand Street, the following findings having been made: <br /> i. The establishment, maintenar�ce and operation of the use applied for <br /> will not, under the circumstances of the particular case, be . <br /> detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, and <br /> general welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood <br /> of the proposed use and will not be detrimental or injurious to <br /> property or improvements in the neighborhood or the general welfare <br /> .of the City based on the findings of the Zoning Administrator set <br /> forth in his Report dated August 8, 1985, which findings are � <br /> , incorporated herein by reference. <br /> ii. The appeal with respect to condition #1 of the Use Permit as issued <br /> by the Zoning Administrator is denied on the ground that the fence <br /> described therein is not in compliance with non-waivable standards <br /> . established by the Zoning Ordinance. - <br /> iii. The appeal with respect to Condition #3 of the subject Use Permit is <br /> denied on the ground that the so-called "good neighborhood" fence to <br /> be constructed adjacent to the northwesterly property line is - <br /> necessary to serve as a buffer for the benefit of surrounding <br /> properties by generally containing the effects of the activities <br /> conducted on the premises and specifically by reducing the intrusion <br /> of sound and visual effects off-site of such activities. <br />
