FINDINGS, FACTS IN SUPPORT OF FINDINGS <br />AND STATEMENT OF OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS <br />REGARDING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IlVIPACT DEPORT <br />FORTHE ELECTRONIC ARTS HEADQUARTERS MASTER PLAN <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />............... <br />1.l Role of the' Findings <br />These Findings .and Facts in Support of Findings relate to the approval of a <br />Vesting Tentative Map, Planned Development.Pen and Development Agreement for <br />the Electronic Arts Headquarters "Project"). The Project is an office campus consisting <br />of multiple interrelatedbuildings, to be located in Redwood Shores. The City ,of <br />Redwood City ("City").is the Lead Agency for the Project pursuant to the California <br />Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"), <br />The Findings state the City's conclusions regarding the significance of the Project'... <br />potential environmental impacts after all feasible mitigation measures have been. adopted. <br />The Findings .are based on information .in the .Environmental Impact Report for the <br />General Plan .revision for Redwood Peninsula ( "Redwood Peninsula EIR "), in the <br />Addendum prepared for the Project (the Redwood Peninsula EIR and the Addendum .shall <br />be referred to collectively as the "Proj ect EIRI, and on other information contained in the <br />.administrative record for the Prod ect. <br />The Facts in Support of Findings state the City's reasons for making each finding. <br />They also set forth the evidence that supports the City's conclusions. Like the Findings, <br />the Facts in Support of Findings are based on the administrative record for the Project, <br />including information contained in the Project -EIR. <br />The Statement of Overriding Considerations states the specific overriding <br />economic, legal. social, technological, or other benefits of the .Project that outweigh the <br />significant environmental effects of the Proj ect (Pub. Res. Code, 2108,1.(b) e) <br />1.2 State Law <br />The EIR. identifies significant scant effects on the environment that may occur as a <br />result of the Project. - The State Guidelines ("Guidelmees") adopted pursuant to CEQA <br />provide as .follows: <br />(a) No public agency shall approve or carry out a project for which an <br />EIR has been completed which identifies one or more significant <br />environmental effects of the ; project unless the public agency makes one or <br />sFW60380106 EXHI.BIT "A" <br />
