An Ordinance Amending Article 49 of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance Relating <br /> to Notice of Public Hearings <br /> 4. An Ordinance Amending Miscellaneous Provisions of the Redwood City Zoning <br /> Ordinance Relating to Appeals <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Waive Second Reading and Adopt all four Ordinances <br /> BAC KG RO U N D <br /> During its meeting on January 9, 2012, the City Council waived first reading and <br /> introduced these ordinances. The ordinances are presented at this meeting for second <br /> reading and adoption. <br /> The appeal and notice provisions in the Municipal Code and in the Zoning Ordinance <br /> are in need of updating to achieve consistency with state law and with other appeal <br /> provisions in the code. On this agenda, Council will consider for introduction <br /> amendments to the Zoning Code. The City Council will be considering separately during <br /> this meeting amendments to the Municipal Code appeals provisions. <br /> These four ordinances amend and cleanup the appeal provisions in the Zoning <br /> Ordinance to bring them into consistency with state law and the ordinances already <br /> considered by Council. At the At the October 10 2011 City Council meeting, Council <br /> considered a report from the City Attorney regarding the Ordinances amending Articles <br /> 48 and 49. Staff made the changes requested and presented them to the Planning <br /> Commission for review and recommendation. <br /> The Planning Commission recommended that the City Council adopt all four ordinances <br /> and they are now before Council for first reading. <br /> Discussion/Issues: <br /> The main provisions of the proposed ordinances are as follows: <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
