6.3.A. - Page 14 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING <br /> VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> RELATING TO APPEALS <br /> WHEREAS, the appeal provisions of the Municipal Code are in need of updating <br /> to bring consistency to the various sections. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES <br /> ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Section 1.8 of the Redwood City Zoning code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 1.8 - Planning Commission Approval of Environmental Documents Combined with <br /> Permit Approval <br /> Notwithstanding any other provision in this Zoning Ordinance, applications for which an <br /> environmental document must be approved shall be acted upon by the Planning <br /> Commission concurrently and together with environmental review and shall not be <br /> separated nor heard, acted upon or determined separately. Appeals from actions of the <br /> Planning Commission regarding environmental determinations and on projects subject <br /> thereto shall be to the City Council and shall be filed processed and heard in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Article 48 of this Zoning Ordinance. An appeal of any <br /> environmental determination shall be considered and processed as an appeal of all <br /> actions on the project subject thereto. An appeal of any action on a project for which an <br /> environmental document is required shall be considered and processed as an appeal <br /> on the environmental determination. <br /> Section 2. Section 37.3 of the Redwood City Zoning Code regarding appeals of <br /> accessory dwelling architectural review is hereby amended to read as follows; <br /> 37.3. Appeals. <br /> A. Any person aggrieved by the action of the Planning Director may appeal such action <br /> to the Planning Commission in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article <br /> 48. <br /> B. The Planning Commission, hearing any appeal may affirm or reverse the decision or <br /> determination being appealed by reviewing whether the accessory dwelling meets <br /> the requirements provided for in Section 37.2 <br /> Section 3. Section 39.3 of the Redwood City Zoning Code regarding appeal of <br /> determinations regarding family child care homes is hereby amended to read as follows <br /> ATTY/ORD/DRAFTS/AMENDING MISC APPEALS IN ZONING <br /> REV:11 /28/11 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
