01 /23/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130-355 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AMENDING ARTICLE 42 OF THE REDWOOD <br /> CITY ZONING CODE RELATING TO USE PERMITS <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of this amendment is to update <br /> procedures relating to use permits and to bring them into consistency with <br /> state law. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Article 42 of the Redwood City Zoning Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> 42.1 - Procedure. <br /> Use Permits for all uses listed as conditional uses or as otherwise required <br /> by the Redwood Ciry Zoning Code, for which an environmental document <br /> need not be approved, shall be acted upon by the Zoning Administrator in <br /> accordance with the provisions of this Article. Applications for Use Permits <br /> for which an environmental document must be approved shall be acted <br /> upon by the Planning Commission in accordance with the provisions of <br /> this Article. The environmental review process and the Use Permit <br /> application shall be processed concurrently and shall not be heard, acted <br /> upon nor determined separately. <br /> 42.2 - Application. <br /> Applications shall be filed with the Planning Department by the'owner of <br /> the property affected or his agent. Every application shall be accompanied <br /> by a reasonable filing fee in an amount as may be established by <br /> resolution of the Council. Such filing fees shall not be refundable. The <br /> application shall include such legal descriptions, maps or plats, drawings, <br /> and other reasonable, pertinent information as may be required by the <br /> Zoning Administrator. <br /> 42.3 - Zoning Administrator Action. <br /> A. The Zoning Administrator/Planning Commission (as applicable, <br /> hereinafter ZA/PC) shall hold a public hearing on the application, <br /> noticed as required by Section 49.4 herein.
