6.1. B. - Page 2 <br /> In order to accomplish Phase Two, staff is recommending that the consultant's contract <br /> be amended to reflect an extension to June 30, 2012. This will provide the opportunity <br /> for the consultant to continue with critical assistance to staff in the implementation of <br /> Phase Two of the Economic Development Reorganization and Action Plan. <br /> The original agreement was in the amount of $48,000, which covered a six month <br /> period. The first amendment was for $52,800; the currently proposed second <br /> amendment amount will not exceed $77,880, therefore the total cost of the entire <br /> agreement is $178,680. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> The Council may elect not to authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> Funding for this agreement will come from two vacancies, in the Community <br /> Development and City Manager departments' general fund budgets. The staff is <br /> evaluating the structure of the positions in the Community Development and City <br /> Manager departments' before the positions are filled, therefore resulting in a savings at <br /> this time. <br /> `�° " " <br /> ROBERT B.
