Adopt a resolution approving the application for the designation of the <br /> subject property described below as a Historic landmark per Section 40.6 <br /> and 40.7, "The Historic Preservation Ordinance," Chapter 40 of the <br /> Redwood City Code. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 15159 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY APPROVING HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION FOR 1842 WHIPPLE <br /> AVENUE, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA <br /> 2. Adopt a resolution approving a historic Preservation Contract for the <br /> subject property per Section 40.5 K., "The Historic Preservation Ordinance," <br /> Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 15160 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY APPROVING HISTORIC PRESERVATION AGREEMENT FOR 1842 <br /> WHIPPLE AVENUE, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA <br /> Mr. Charles Jany, Principal Planner, presented a brief report noting this includes two <br /> Council actions. <br /> Mayor Aguirre opened the Public Hearing. There was no public Comment. <br /> M/S FousUSeybert to close the Public Hearing. Motion carried by voice vote. <br /> M/S Gee/Pierce to approve the first resolution. Motion carried unanimously by <br /> electronic vote. <br /> M/S FousUGee to approve the second resolution. Motion carried unanimously by <br /> electronic vote. <br /> 8. STAFF REPORT(S) <br /> A. Appointment of one applicant to a vacant seat on the Planning <br /> Commission. (209) <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Staff recommends that Council make an appointment to the Planning Commission <br /> to fill one un-expired seat that will expire on June 30, 2012. The applicants for <br /> consideration are: Jay Neville, Craig Robinson, Shawn White, Simms Duncan, <br /> Paul Sanfilipo, and Hope Sullivan. <br /> One Council Member noted this is a particularly difficult selection due to the caliber of <br /> the applicants and he would like to do one more round of interviews. He would like <br /> Council to vote on the top finalists.
