EXHIBIT "A"
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND TIME SCHEDULE
Task 1. Surveying Services
CONSULTANT shall provide supplemental surveying for the proposed Concrete Box
Culvert Relocation Project. This updated supplemental information is required for base
mapping purposes associated with the preparation of Construction Documents. This
information will be added to existing survey information as part of the aerial topographic
survey. Supplemental field survey will include 30 to 40 feet on each side of the
proposed concrete box culvert relocation alignment, and will include location of surface
features, grades, utility boxes. The accuracy will be to 0.1' when possible.
Task 2. Hydraulic Analysis
CONSULTANT shall update the Redwood Creek HEC-RAS storm drainage model using
site specific survey data. The model will be run using the 30-year event peak flow rate
from the City's Storm Drainage Master Plan, and the FEMA 100-year peak flow rate.
CONSULTANT will review differences in box culvert sizing for these flow rates. If a
design flow rate of less than a 100-year storm is used, CONSULTANT will review the
overflow flow path of excess flows. CONSULTANT will prepare a design report that
documents box culvert sizing and key design parameters verifying the design intent for
the relocated box culvert.
Task 3. Civil Improvement Plan Preparations, Coordination & Meetings
Task 3a. Data Research and Coordination:
CONSULTANT will research the City of Redwood City records and other
information available as to the location of existing utilities and other improvement
plan features and pertinent site features. CONSULTANT shall plot these into the
base drawing map of the Proposed Concrete Box Culvert Construction
Documents. CONSULTANT will evaluate which utility will need to be relocated as
part of the realignment of the box culvert. These existing utilities can then be
taken into account in the development pian for the area.
Task 3b. Prepare 30% Construction Documents
Specific work to be performed during this phase will include at a minimum:
a. Incorporating comments from City based on preliminary meetings and
review of concept plan
b. Developing site improvement plan for the improvement area
c. Street improvement, grading design and detail preparation
d. Storm drainage detail design
ATTY/AGR/2011.140IDESIGN AGREEMENT BKF
REV:12/22/11
