(802) <br />RESOLUTION No. 14854 of APPLICATION BY THE CITY of REDWOOD CITY <br />REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION APPROVAL FOR <br />EXTENSION of WATER SERVICE OUTSIDE JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES <br />PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 56133: <br />Section — Claims and Warrants <br />A. Motion carries by roll <br />call vote with Council Member Ira absent. <br />Mayor Foust reiterated the actions tin by the Council vii. the Consent Calendar. Vice <br />Mayor Howard asked that Mr. Ingram consider the request posed by Mr. James. <br />Council Member Ira arrived andjoined the Council. <br />Staff Report <br />A. Proposed Initiative Measure Amending the Charter of the City of Redwood City <br />San Francisco Bay Front and City Park Land. <br />Recommendation: <br />Discussion o the Proposed Initiative Meas re. (308) <br />Mayor Foust announced that City Attorney Yamamoto would present a brief report and then <br />Council would receive public comment. She explained that questions posed by the public <br />gold be written down and staff would come back with responses. <br />City Attorney Yamamoto presented a brief overview of what had happened to date, i.e. the <br />filing of a notice of intent to circulate a petition on March h 3, 200 8. Mr. Yamamoto provided <br />details on the creation of the ballot title and summary that were released on March 28, <br />200 8. Mr. Yamamoto explained the next steps on the process. The areas impacted by the <br />proposed initiative were shown on a reap.
