Introduce an Ordinance to prezone properties located at 343, 357, 367 & 375 <br />Alameda De Las Pulgas to Residential- Single Family R -1 Zoning District. <br />The City Council rust find the pronrg to be in the public interest and adopt <br />the following findings: <br />• The proposed przoning is consistent with the General Plan land use <br />designation of Low Density Residential; <br />• That the proposed annexation will efiminate an isolated unincorporated <br />"pocket " of land; <br />• That once developed according to the anticipated zoning, the proposed <br />land use pattern will be compatible to the adjoining land uses; and, <br />• That the right-of-way improvements ments associated with the proposed <br />annexation will improve the existing infrastructure. He expanded on the benefits associated with this annexation and hoer it will <br />improve pedestrian access and an overall improvement on drainage. He provided <br />background on the tax exchange associated with this transaction. slide presentation is <br />on file. <br />Mayor Foust opened the public hearing. There was no public comment. <br />M S Howard/Hartnett to close the public hearing. Motion carries unanimously by a roll <br />call acts. <br />One Council Member suggested neighbors be given the option to work together and enlarge <br />the pedestrian access area through a cost sharing agreement. Council shared concerns <br />about the overall drainage issues in that area. Staff took note of those concerns and <br />responded to sore. The issue of increased liability for the City was discussed and staff <br />said it could look at the issue. <br />M/S Aguirre Ho ward to introduce the ordinance and make the findings.
