2.0 Scope of Work <br /> Consultant shall prepare three sets of contract documents as follows: <br /> • Bid Package 1. Steel tanks and pipes. Task 1 a covers the work at tank sites, <br /> Task 1 b covers the work at bridge sites in Redwood Shores. <br /> . Bid Package 2. Carson reservoir. Task 2 covers this work. <br /> . Bid Package 3. Other upgrades of equipment and structures at pump station and <br /> tank site. Task 3 covers this work. <br /> Task 1a. Steel Tanks and Pipes <br /> Consultant shall develop contract documents to seismically-upgrade the following steel <br /> tanks: <br /> • Overflow, drain pipes, other pipes (9 pipes total): Glenlock (2) Easter Cross (1), <br /> Easter Bowl (1), Cambridge 1(3), Wilmington (2) <br /> • Tank anchorage (3 tanks total). New anchors for Easter Bowl and Cambridge 2 <br /> tanks; modify anchorage for Wilmington tank. <br /> Consultant expects that the subsurface conditions at these tank sites to consist of a <br /> shallow layer of backfill soils, underlain by rock-like materials. <br /> Required Submittals: <br /> 25% and 50% Design Submittal and Review <br /> Consultant shall pertorm the final engineering and design to meet the intent of the <br /> AW1NA D100-05 code, complemented by IBC 2009, ALA (2005) and other industry <br /> documents as appropriate. Seismic response modification factors shall be no higher <br /> than allowed by code for new construction, or lower if existing detailing does not provide <br /> suitable ductility to meet the intended performance. <br /> Consultant shall submit final structural calculations, stamped and wet signed by a <br /> California Professional Engineer. <br /> Final drawings shall be printed in D size (24x36 inch) format, set up to produce half size <br /> prints at B size (11x17 inch) format. <br /> The list of drawings includes but is not limited to the following: <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.001/G&E ENGINEERING Page 12 of 30 <br /> REV:01 /10/12 <br />
