6.3.C. - Page 4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SALARY RANGES FOR THE <br />CLASSIFICATIONS IN EXECUTIVE MANAGMENT <br />WHEREAS, in April 2000, the Council's Personnel Sub - Committee approved a <br />new compensation program for department Heads in the Executive Management group; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the new compensation program requires that the salary for each <br />Department Head Classification is established by using the lowest and highest salary <br />for each position within the City's group of comparable cities; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 14, 2004, the Council Personnel Sub - Committee <br />decided to establish the one salary setting policy for all members of the Executive <br />Management Group; and <br />WHEREAS, a market survey for 2011 was conducted by Human Resource staff <br />and has been reviewed by the Executive Management Group; and <br />WHEREAS, criteria for setting Executive Management salary increases for <br />Department Heads and Division Managers are determined by the City Manager <br />annually. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City as follows: <br />1. Approve changes to the salary range for classifications in the Executive <br />Management Group as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this <br />reference incorporated herein, effective July 1, 2011. <br />2.
