Your Role as a Board, Commission, or Committee Member <br />➢ Role of All Members <br />All members are responsible for certain duties and commitments to the City, City Council, and <br />the BCC on which they serve. Each <br />member must know, understand, <br />accept, and accomplish his or hers _ <br />delegated responsibilities in order to w <br />be effective. The following is a list of <br />BCC member duties and <br />responsibilities: <br />• Take the Oath of <br />Office. <br />• Complete and sign the Form 700 and turn it in to the City Clerk's Office. <br />• Understand the role and responsibilities of the appointed BCC. Be informed <br />of its functions and relationship with other BCCs. <br />• Take the Ethics training (AB 1234) <br />• Attend the orientation scheduled by your Staff Liaison and /or the City Clerk. <br />17 1 <br />
