6.3.A. - Page 10 <br />0 <br />SIDE LETTER AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br />INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS/ <br />SAN MATEO COUNTY FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 2400 <br />The following document contains the Side Letter Agreement between the City of Redwood <br />City (hereinafter called "City ") and the International Association of Fire Fighters/ San Mateo <br />County Fire Fighters Local 2400 (hereinafter called "Association ") (hereinafter collectively <br />called "the parties ") on wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment. The <br />salaries, hours, fringe benefits and working conditions set forth have been mutually agreed <br />upon by the designated bargaining representatives of the City and the Association. The <br />parties have met and conferred and agree that any and all mutual understandings are <br />hereby incorporated. Any outstanding proposals not agreed to are hereby withdrawn by the <br />parties. <br />The parties agree to the following terms and conditions, subject to ratification of the <br />bargaining unit and adoption by the City Council. <br />WHEREAS, the City employs individuals in the job classification of Fire <br />Prevention Officer; <br />WHEREAS, Fire Prevention Officers were recently transferred from the <br />bargaining unit represented by Service Employees International Union Local <br />521 ( "SEIU ") to the bargaining unit represented by the International <br />Association of Fire Fighters/ San Mateo County Fire Fighters Local 2400 <br />( "Association ") through a unit modification agreed to by the City, Association, <br />and SEIU; <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined that reclassification of the current Fire <br />Prevention Officers to Deputy Fire Marshal is appropriate; <br />NOW THEREFORE, The City and Association agree to the following terms: <br />1. Deputy Fire Marshal Job Classification <br />The City will establish the job classification of Deputy Fire Marshal. <br />Employees (Jamison Lee and Ulrich Peretz) currently classified as Fire <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />
