Brief resumes of the City Manager, <br />the Director of Finance and the Financial Services Manager are shown below. <br />Edward P. Everett, City Manager. Mr. Everett has been City Manager of Redwood City <br />since 1992. Prior to that, he was the City Manager of the City of Belmont for 8 years. He has <br />over 30 years experience in city and county government. His educational background includes a <br />Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis and a Master's in <br />Urban Affairs from Princeton University. <br />Brian J. Ponty, Director of Finance and Financial Planning. Mr. Ponty has served as the <br />Director of Finance and Financial Planning for the City since 1993. From 1985 to 1993, Mr. <br />Ponty was the City's Assistant Finance Director. As Finance Director, Mr. Ponty leads a 31- <br />member finance department consisting of three divisions, revenue services, information <br />technology, and financial support operations for the City, with over $100 million in annual <br />revenues. Mr. Ponty has taught finance and accounting classes at Golden Gate University. <br />Alison Freeman, Financial Services Manager. Ms. Freeman has served as Financial <br />Services Manager for the City since 2000. From 1991 to 2000 she was the Assistant Finance <br />Director for the City of South San Francisco. Prior to that, Ms. Freeman served in various <br />positions with other governmental agencies in California.
