RAB:dft "'~8/95 (048/38) <br /> ~ ~,J3/95R <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 3/13/95 <br /> <br /> RRESOLUTION NO. 12429 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> FIRST AMENDMENT TO JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> - SAN MATEO CABLE TELEVISION AUTHORITY ("SAMCAT") <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of SAMCAT, a joint exercise <br />of powers authority established in 1989 by agreement entered <br />pursuant to Government Code Sections 6500 through 6518, having <br />requested approval of certain amendments to said agreement <br />relating to the collection of data and the approval of rates <br />charged by franchisees of SAMCAT's members for cable television <br />programming; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is a member of SAMCAT and <br />this Council desires to approve said amendments; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain amendment entitled, "First Amendment To Joint <br />Powers Agreement - San Mateo Cable Television Authority" (form <br /> <br />dated 2/28/95), amending the joint powers agreement establishing <br />SAMCAT to authorize the Board of Directors of SAMCAT to collect <br />data, hold hearings and regulate CATV rates within federal <br />requirements as often as quarterly, a copy of which amendment is <br />attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and by this reference <br />incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and <br />City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to <br />attest thereto, respectively, said amendment substantially in the <br />form of Exhibit A for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
