Caltrans District 4("Caltrans"), who shall have fi�ll access to the Project equipment throughout the Project limits but is not a signatory to this Agreement, shall enter into a separate agreement with C/CAG for the construction of portions of the Project on State right of way and the maintenance and operations of the Project (the "GCAG-Caltrans Agreement"). G. The COUNTY shall enter into a separate agreement with GCAG with regard to the construction of portions of the Project on local arterials (tlie "C/CAG-COUNTY Agreement"). AGREEMENT The parties hereto agree as follows: 1. Conditions Precedent to Effectiveness of Agreement Tlus Agreement shall become effective and binding upon the parties only if and once the C/CAG-Caltrans Agreement and the C/CAG-COLTNTY Agreement are entered into. 2. Equipment A. New Equipment: The COUNTY shall install the following equipment and components of the new Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) the Project elemei7ts ("New Equipment"): 1) Directional signs (trailblazers and other); 2) Fixed or pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) closed-circuit television cameras (CGTV); 3) Coinmunications infrastructure (conduit, fiber, twisted wire copper, pull boxes, splice enclosures, wireless, software, and associated equipinent); 4) Arterial changeable message signs (Arterial Dynamic Message Signs — ADMS); 5) Vehicle detection systems; 6) Center-to-center cominuiucations equipment between San Mateo County Hub (SMCHub) and District 4 Traffic Management Center (D4TMC); and 7) Power supply line and equipinent. B. Upgraded Equipinent. The GOLTNTY may upgrade the following equipment to the satisfaction of Redwood Gity, if necessary, to meet the operational needs of the Project ("Upgraded Equipment"): traffic signal controllers, cabinets, signal interconnect equipment, and signal operating software systeins.
