3. Based on conversations with City staff, it is assumed that the crosswalk system will be designed to <br /> be solar powered, with dedicated electrical power through the PG&E utility to be used for the <br /> luminaire design. City staff has noted that they will coordinate with PG&E throughout the process <br /> to request utility information and provide utility coordination later during the construction phase. <br /> 4. Request utility information from providers with facilities in the vicinity. This information will be <br /> shown on the design plans. <br /> 5. Subcontract with Mountain Pacific Surveys (MPS) to provide topographic survey of the site. MPS will <br /> establish the required ground control (the horizontal datum shall be record mapping and the vertical <br /> datum shall be as required by the City) and complete the required field surveys sufficient to prepare <br /> a topographic map of the area. The mapping shall reflect the surface features and grades sufficient <br /> for designing the bulbout and median improvements. A structure inventory of the catch basin to be <br /> replaced and the upstream (if any) and downstream structures will be provided reflecting the rim <br /> and inver[ elevatfon as well as the pipe type, size and direction. <br /> TASK 2 —PREPARE 95% PS&E <br /> Consultant shall: <br /> 1. Prepare a geometric design exhibit for the City's conceptual approval of the horizontal design <br /> elements. <br /> 2. Prepare 95% plans, specifications (technical provisions), and estimates for the geometric <br /> improvements and illuminated crosswalk. Civil plans will show proposed curbs, gutters, sidewalks, <br /> ramps, lighting, and drainage improvements with sufficient horizontal and vertical informatian for <br /> construction. Illuminated crosswalk plans will show pull boxes, conduits, ped push button poles or <br /> other detedion means, service equipment, service point (if required), signs, striping and pavement <br /> markings, controller box, and details necessary for the installation. The plans will be prepared at a <br /> scale of 1"=20' or other appropriate scale. <br /> 3. Submit up to three (3) sets of the 95% PS&E to the City of Redwood City for review and comment. <br /> 4. Meet with the City to discuss the 95% comments. <br /> Delivereble: <br /> a. Three (3) sets of 95% plans, specifications (technical provisions), and estimate <br /> b. Project meeting with City staff <br /> TASK 3 —PREPARE 300% (UNCHECKED) PS&E <br /> Consultant shalL• <br /> 1. Based on the comments received from the City, advance the PS&E to 100% (unchecked) level. <br /> 2. Submit up to three (3) sets of 100% (unchecked) PS&E for review and comment. <br /> Delivereble: <br /> a. Three (3) sets of 100% (unchecked) plans, specifications (technical provisfons), and estimate <br /> TASK 4— PREPARE FINAL PS&E <br /> Consultant shall: <br /> 1. Based on the comments received from the City, advance the PS&E to Final. <br /> Delivereble: <br /> a.
