EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES AND TIME SCHEDULE <br /> Project Description <br /> The City of Redwood City seeks to upgrade portions of the existing electrical system at the Sanitary Sewer Pump <br /> Station No. 10 (SSPS 10) to improve reliability of the wastewater services provided in the Redwood Shores <br /> area. The project includes replacing existing motor control devices, field instrumentation, and facility controls. <br /> SSPS 10 is a crucial central pumping location that receives wastewater from sixteen other area pump sta6ons. <br /> Flows from SSPS 10 are pumped to the South Bayside System Authority wastewater treatment plant. The motor <br /> control equipment (RVATs and VFD), controls (relay logic, level controller and PLC), and infrastructure <br /> (enclosures, etc.) are the major components to be replaced under this project. Additional improvements include <br /> replacing existing instrumentation and redundant controls. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Consultant shall perform and provide the following. <br /> Task 1: Project Management <br /> Description: <br /> 1. Manage and direct the project team consisting of CONSULTANT'S staff and CONSULTANT'S <br /> sub-consultants. The task will include reviewing work progress, scheduling work assignments, <br /> allocating resources, and preparing and reviewing invoices. <br /> 2. Perform QA/QC reviews and audits of the design process per consultanYs procedures <br /> Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Attend a maximum of five meetings including: <br /> a. Kickoff <br /> b. 60% design review workshop <br /> c. 100% design review workshop <br /> d. Pre-bid meeting <br /> e. Pre-construction meeting <br /> 2. Prepare monthly invoices with Project status reports <br /> Deliverables: <br /> 1. Monthly invoices and status reports <br /> 2. Meeting agendas and minutes <br /> Task 2: Preliminary Design (60%) <br /> Description: <br /> 1. Review record documents <br /> 2. Pertorm site investigation and verification <br /> 3. Prepare Preliminary (60%) design documents (plans and specifications) <br /> 4. Prepare 60% level Opinion of Probable Costs <br /> Responsibilities: <br /> 1. Project design will include the following features (subject to approval by the City during design <br /> development): <br /> -New pump discharge pressure switches on each pump interlocked to achieve pump <br /> shutdown <br /> - New pressure transmitter on pump discharge header for station monitoring <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.032/TJCAA <br /> REV:03-22-12 VR <br /> Page 10 of 16 <br />
