39. Far new construcfiion, an approved carbon monoxide alarm shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms in dweiling units within which fuel-fired appliances are installed and in dwelling units #hat have attached garages, (IRC R315.1) 40. Basements, habitable attics, and every sleeping raom shall nave at least one operable emergency escape and rescue opening.
