Affirmative Marketing <br /> <br /> The City of Redwood City and the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency (Agency) will <br /> affix:natively further fair housing by marketing the First Time Home Buyer Program in the <br /> following ways: <br /> <br /> 1. Methods for Informing the Public: <br /> <br /> Equal Opportunity logos and clauses will be included in each and every press release <br /> and newspaper advertisement advising potential home buyers of the availability of this <br /> program, as well as in all program materials to be distributed to the public. The federal <br /> Fair Housing logo will be used as well as the equal opportunity clause adopted by the <br /> City Council as recorhmended by the City's Self Evaluation Committee. <br /> <br /> Additionally, the City and Agency shah include in its efforts, contacts with community <br /> organizations, fair housing agencies, and agencies providing services to persons with <br /> disabilities. To the extent feasible, City and Agency will provide translated materials <br /> in languages other than English as requested by potential applicants. <br /> <br /> Participating lenders will be encouraged to conduct specific outreach to households not <br /> likely to participate without this special outreach. <br /> <br /> Any third party Nred by the City or.the Agency to implement any part of this program <br /> will be required to adhere to the requirements and practices for affirmative marketing <br /> and fair housing. <br /> <br />The City will carry out its affirmative marketing plan to Ensure the inclusion, to the maximum <br />extent possible, minority and women applicants, entities owned by minorities and women, <br />including without limitation real estate firms, construction firms, appraisal firms, management <br />fixms, financial institutions, investment banking firms, underwriters, accountants, and <br />providers of legal services, and in all contracts entered into by the City or by the Agency with <br />such persons or entities, public and private, in order to facilitate the activities of the City and <br />the Agency to provide affordable housing authorized under this Act or any other federal <br />· housing law applicable to the City and the Agency. <br /> <br /> The City will keep records regarding the number and dollar amounts of partidpation by <br /> minority and women-owned businesses, including assistance provided to minority and female <br /> headed households under the First Time Home Buyer Program. <br /> <br /> <br />
