DES:djk !/05/95 (063/39) <br /> <br />.~ ~ R I G I N A L 1/16/95 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12391 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN <br /> TRUCKS; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br /> THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the <br /> Code of the City of Redwood City, the City Manager caused public <br /> notice inviting bids to be published for the purchase of fifteen <br /> (15) trucks for the Police, Fire, General Services and Parks, <br /> Recreation and Community Services Departments; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication two bids were <br /> received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, S & C Ford, Inc. of San Francisco, and Fremont Ford <br /> of Newark, California are the lowest responsible bidders and it <br /> is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the bids <br /> thereof; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of S & C Ford, Inc., in the total amount of Two <br /> Hundred Sixty Thousand Three Hundred Sixteen and 44/100 Dollars <br /> ($260,316.44), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br /> dated December 14, 1994 for the sale of Vehicles ~1-(2), 92-(4), <br /> #3-(3), 94-(1), 95-(2) and ~7-(1) and the bid of Fremont Ford, in <br /> the total amount of Fifty Thousand Five Hundred and 80/100 <br /> Dollars ($50,500.80), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br /> proposal dated December 5, 1994 for the sale of Vehicle 96-(2), <br /> which bids are on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, are <br /> <br /> <br />
