DES:dft ~/31/94 (008/38) <br /> DES:djk ~/04/94R <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A n 10/10/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12346 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN <br /> UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES <br /> HEREIN DESCRIBED AND GENERALLY ENCOMPASSING LANDS <br /> BOUNDED BY BROADWAY, ARGUELLO AND WARREN STREETS, <br /> BREWSTER AVENUE AND VETERANS BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY; DESIGNATING SAID PROPOSED DISTRICT AS <br /> UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1994-1; DESCRIBING <br /> WHAT UTILITY FACILITIES, IF ANY, MAY BE MAINTAINED <br /> ABOVE GROUND; AND STATING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR <br /> HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE FORMATION OF SAID DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article II of Chapter 11, (commencing with §11.30) <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City provides a procedure for <br />the establishment of underground utility districts within <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Community <br />Development have recommended the establishment of the hereinafter <br />described underground utility district; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the recommendation and <br />has determined that the public interest and convenience require <br />the establishment of said underground utility district; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of California Public <br />Utilities Commission Rule 20-A, the costs incurred by the City <br />for placing overhead utilities underground within said proposed <br />district are reimbursable from funds collected from utility <br />corporations; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
