• The Controller shall be responsible for investing SBSA funds and recommending its <br /> investment policy. <br /> Financial Services: <br /> • Maintain the general ledger as required by the Governmental Accounting Standards <br /> Board (GASB) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. <br /> • Prepare monthly financial statement and other management reports as requested by <br /> SBSA in the format specified by SBSA. <br /> • Reconcile cash and investment accounts and prepare monthly investments reports. <br /> • Perform all banking activities and reconcile bank statements monthly. Notify SBSA <br /> management of any irregularities. <br /> • Process accounts payable transactions as input by SBSA staff and print checks, and <br /> prepare accounts payable reports for SBSA management bi-weekly. <br /> • Prepare manual checks as required. <br /> • Process payroll transactions as input by SBSA staff and prepare checks and automatic <br /> deposits bi-weekly. <br /> • Prepare all payroll reports: quarterly (state and federal tax reports) and monthly <br /> (California Public Employees Retirement System reports, group health and other <br /> employee insurance reports). <br /> • Prepare payroll reports for SBSA management bi-weekly. <br /> • Prepare and distribute W-2's and 1099's annually. <br /> • Assist in annual audit and prepare audit work papers when appropriate. <br /> • Review audited financial statements and interface with auditors as required on <br /> accounting issues. <br /> • Communicate with SBSA staff regarding any significant accounting issues. <br /> • Provide advice and consultation on financial matters and accounting policies. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.Oxx 8 <br /> SBSA Finance and IT Services <br />
