The Perk Filter captures
and retains sediment, oils, rretals and other target constituents close to the source ard reduces the#otal
discarge load.
The PerK Fi{ter cartridge is manfactured from drabfe polymeric corponents with a
polymer-coated steel support screen and stainless steel hardware. Its base canstruction
allows use with a wideariety of inedia chosen to address site-specific pol{utants of eoncern.
Perk Fiitrs rr►ay be installed as a retrafit to suitable existing curb'tnlet, drop inlet,or combittation catch
basins, as an in#egraE part af a coaied steel-or concrete-housed stormwater inlet system for corrmercial,
residenfial, and industrial deelopments, or as centralized modlar treatrnent system installed either on-
line or of#-line.
Prefiltration
Systems cansiructed with a catch basin inlet are equipped with aIoGardPlus Catch Basin Insert#or
pre-filfration.'his insert captures grass pollutants such as trash, debris, hydrocarbans, and large
sediment particles.
Graity Separatior
Sorre Perk Filter systems have an inlet 6ay wherein the initial stormwater flows are received. This is
separated from the r-ain treatment chamber by a batfle walE with weir assembly. Medium size sedinen#
particles are retained in the i€let bay. A drain down assernbly to eliminate standing water from the inlet
bay area between storm events is included in standard configurations.
Media Filtration
Once the stormwater enters the treatnent chamber, it will pass thraugh the filtration cartridges containing
the project-specified filter rredia as the water level rises in the chamber. Very fine pollutant particulates
will be refained in the filter cariridges as the water flows through the media to an interior perforated pipe,
dropping the treated stormwater into an outlet char►ber below a false floor.
Peak Flow Bypass
Perkilter systems are designd with a peak flow bypass to ensre the system will not back up and
cause upstream flooding claring extraordinary storm eents.'he bypass weir is an integral part of the
baffle wall assembly in the inlet bay and allows peak flow stormwater directly to the outlet chamber.
,
d
,
_ ,, . _.
y _

=:,_'r:a W g_
r.ew
_„;.
;,;:;`_-,:.'
-...
:,; ,:.;.,-
_ti;°:w:.<t;.wx.,
W g.
''°°':

 , J.

' °,s='x'` ma' ti",;;
z;:""t--:
,.w:s:..:- .
._-., ......• :;
,
KsiStar Enterprises,lnc.
3605uiton Place
Santa Rosa,CA 95A07
(800)579-8819
www.kristar.cnm
